Welcome to St James’s

St James’s Swimming Club has been established in Dulwich since 1878. Run by qualified volunteer instructors/coaches the Club’s mission is to teach children from the age of seven onwards who are not beginners but who wish to improve their swimming technique and fitness. Children will be taught to swim all four strokes proficiently as well as racing dives and turns so that they are able to represent their schools at swimming if they so wish or just enjoy the pleasure of being a good swimmer without the pressure of intensive training. The Club meets once a week at Alleyns school pool on Sundays from 11 am to 12. St. James’s is a family friendly club and we welcome parents who wish to join in the swim or just want to come and chat to fellow parents on the poolside! St James’s is registered with Swim England. Annual fees are £35 for under 17s and £60 for adults. Each individual swim costs £4. Attendance every week is not mandatory as our philosophy is that children should be free to enjoy a variety of extra curricular activities and we are happy to accommodate swimmers’ availability.
